What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is a counselling specialty that is accessible to all ages.
It does not require special talents or skills.
Working with a trained art therapist, individuals will use art materials and processes to support achieving the goals they have for therapy.
Art created during art therapy essentially becomes a "third person" in the therapeutic relationship (client, counsellor and artwork) and has a distinctive "voice and presence."
The artwork created can encourage thoughtful exploration of the inner self, in a manner that creates a connection between verbal conversation and non-verbal inner thoughts, emotions, and memories.

As a trained Art Therapist I can help deepen this process, supporting your emotional growth & exploration while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
